Weigh-In

Motivation

Starting Weight: 186 lbs.

Last Week’s Weight (3 weeks ago): 176.8 lbs.

Today’s Weight: 176.4 lbs.

3 Week Weight Loss: -0.4 lbs.

Total Weight Loss to Date: –9.6 lbs.

Well, not what I expected…but then again I shouldn’t have expected more. I didn’t workout much…and have been eating A LOT of sweets. Kind of binged one night too…NOT good! What kind of things do you do to motivate yourself and get back on track? Any tips or ideas? I would love to hear from you all!

  1. I just stumbled across your blog and this is the first post I saw so I decided to answer it ;)

    I do just this: look at pictures of really fit girls, delicious looking healthy food, and it just makes me WANT it. It keeps me on track.

    That and learning different random facts about health helps me a lot too.

    For instance, did you know that refined sugar has literally no nutritional value for your body? So it's essentially just going straight to fat rather than being utilized by your body. Studies have shown that you would survive longer on a diet of only water (this is an instance if there was no food available and you were starving; NOT in an every day world) than on a diet of water and sugar. The sugar would actually shorten your life span.

    Oh, and the random fact about how you would have to walk the length of a full football field to burn off a plain m&m helps too ;D Haha.

    OH, and if I want something sweet but I know I'm not hungry, I don't need it, etc, etc, I look at the calorie content. They're usually 300 calories or more and I think about how long I would have to work out to burn that off.
